Laxmibai declares that she will find the treasure by the next morning, failing which she will end her life. Raghunath and Tatya Guru fail to recover the treasure. Even as Gangadhar woos Moti Bai in a royal manner and wants her to join his mozalsal school, a wounded Manu defeats George. Manu runs away from the British officials and allied native troops, threatens to commit suicide in jail, and refuses to reveal how to make her arrow bombs, which stuns Manson.
Laxmibai also wishes to win the trust of the villagers.
