This week aired episodes 12 through 17 with two episodes airing back to back on Sunday evening. An excuse was given that this was helping the audience remember what occured. There was a sequence of scenes that had the same track playing through…it is unnecessary. Sure, the actors have done a wonderful job in making us believe who is who and where they stand but it would have helped if they actually also looked the part. Jelnar Aimee Sayah , had to sacrifice her pride in order to protect her mother and her family when Sheikh Talal Youssef Al Khal ordered her to apologize to Saeed Afandeh Tony Mehanna after smacking him due to him disrespecting her mother Yasmine. Whether this was purposefully done or not, it was not clear to the audience who still questions how some characters got older and others did not age at all, while some characters aged so fast it was inconceivable. I am truly proud of the production team and the cast of this series.
Whether this was purposefully done or not, it was not clear to the audience who still questions how some characters got older and others did not age at all, while some characters aged so fast it was inconceivable. This would have been such an opportunity. The story follows the lives of two families: The aging felt rushed and unscientific. The recap occurred in the beginning of the episode so the audience is not that forgetful. Standard Service takes more business days. Yet, in order for Saeed to turn into the monster he became he sacrificed whatever romance and love he had for Yasmine and turned it into a dark obsession that lead to his final demise. She sacrificed staying with her family and watching her children grow in order to keep them safe.
Even down to her hair style, Nehyeh is grooming Boushra into a mini version of herself, something she was never able to do with her niece, Souraya. I am truly proud of the production team and the cast of this series.
A new addition to Wa Achrakat was the recap at the beginning of every episode which was welcomed especially after the gap between episodes 11 and Which brings me to my final thought…. Sorry for the inconvenience! Qchrakat chose the latter.
I surely hope so. This would have been such an opportunity. If so someone needs to tell them to stop!
Wa Ashrakat Al Chames – Upcoming Episode 19
This week aired episodes 12 through 17 with two episodes airing back to back on Sunday evening. Multiple characters spanning many years during which the Lebanese da against the Ottaman Empire occurred. We ship Monday – Saturday excluding holidays. Being at the first part of Episode 12, the show comparatively to its predecessors in Lebanese prime time dramas holds strong.
The aging felt rushed and unscientific.
Thankfully I was proven wrong! It seems like Foad is the character with the least amount of dialogue, but that does not stop Chlela from stealing the scene every time he is in one. Even when dealing with the rebellion, Tayeh slowly unveils the map and the game pieces like a game of Risk.
I say this fully knowing that the series is still not yet complete. I wish this could be broadcasted all over the world because it deserves global recognition. Which brings me to my final thought… I am beyond excited and anxious for this eclipse to be over and for the sun to rise and spread the light over all the darkness that our beloved characters are covered by.
Lebanese scenarist Mona Tayeh, not only shares this epic period story with us but also grounds it with the history of the time period. Producing a drama of this caliber not to mention the fact that it is also a period piece in Lebanon is quite a feat.
No project is perfect and this business is built upon learning and improving. It was epic in a revolutionary sort of way. How on earth did Shahine remember Saeed Afandeh walking and seeing him and Souraya when all Shahine knew was what Jelnar told him which was the Sheikh Talal not Saeed Afandeh saw them together. The cinematography of Wa Achrakat is quite cinematic. An excuse was given that this was helping the audience remember what occured.
Tayeh, here, has woven a tale of love, betrayal, murder, deception, and most importantly sacrifice. The moment was beautifully tragic as we felt the heartbreak that Shahine was feeling…until we witnessed a memory that thanks to the magical world of editing made absolutely no sense.
Hamadah handled the scene beautifully but wq like I wanted more from Ghassan Saliba. Why are the poor wearing such beautiful colorful clothes? This now causes a different kind of suspense.
Wa Achrakat Al Chams Episode 42
The story follows the lives of two families: The two episode special pushed our beloved characters into such interesting conflicts that the changed the game into a much dangerous one. During the 2 hour episode we were finally given some beautiful character development.
Only the test segment’s name is hard-coded on the server side, though. I sometime feel like this series, much like many Lebanese series, is over scored with music. Standard Service takes more business days. The story reached an epic moment with these episodes: Why on Earth would chamees change?
There is no proper deviation between the classes when it comes to their clothes. She sacrificed staying with her family and watching her children grow in order to keep them safe.
Wa Ashraqat Al Chamess – Upcoming Episode 12
Yet, Tayeh handles all of it with grace, feeding just enough to keep the audience wanting way more. Sheikh Abdallah Wehbe Joseph Bou Nassarthe patriarch, lives in a large estate and owns acres of land where hired workers pour their blood and sweat farming and gathering for the Wehbe family.
Our warehouse is located in Yiwu, the largest small commodities market in China. After being told that Souraya married Sheikh Wajih, Shahine sits near the river where he and Souraya used to meet and we the audience witness his memories. Even Souraya Tatiana Merhebwho is weak and slowly fading I totally hate her fate because I love her character is doing so to rebel and protect her pride against her brother and new husband.
Will the show remain in its high spot until it ends? Please read all description provided as a guide before you bid. She consistently bombardes her characters with such difficult decisions and shows us the audience that nothing is achievable without sacrifice.
Even Yasmine showed her feistiness when her and Khalil faced off. There was a sequence of scenes that had the same track playing through…it is unnecessary. If money is changed five times, there will be five resulting exchange rates to be used in the advance reconciliation.
Instead the beautifully orchestrated original theme song, I was given the original end credit sequence. I am disappointed by that change and instead of fighting to keep the volume on the TV up during the episode, I now turn the volume down.
No, I am not blaming Yasmine for what ultimately happened.
